Porto Alegre, Brazil, March 27, 2026 — Zarv, a risk infrastructure platform for insurers, banks, and rental companies, has been named Enterprise Winner at South Summit Brazil 2026, one of the world's most selective startup competitions. The award was presented on the final day of the three-day event at Cais Mauá in Porto Alegre.
The competition
South Summit Brazil is recognized globally as one of the most competitive startup competitions in the world. The 2026 edition received 2,378 applications from startups across 66 countries — the highest number in the event's history. A global jury of investors, innovation leaders, and industry specialists evaluated the field and selected 51 finalists from 15 countries.
Zarv competed in the Enterprise category — reserved for startups delivering high-impact B2B solutions at scale — alongside companies from France, Spain, Uruguay, and the United States. It was the only risk infrastructure platform among the finalists selected worldwide.
About the award
The Enterprise Winner designation recognizes startups whose technology addresses a structural gap in large-scale markets. Jury criteria include technological differentiation, market size, measurable impact, and operational execution.
For Zarv, the recognition reflects a thesis the company has held since its founding: that the insurance and lending industries are underserved by fragmented, point-in-time risk tools — and that the solution is shared infrastructure, not another standalone product.
"Insurers, banks, and rental companies are making risk decisions today with data that doesn't connect. Onboarding, monitoring, and claims live in separate systems that were never designed to talk to each other. Zarv is the infrastructure layer that ties those together — and gets smarter with every transaction on the platform. The problem we're solving in Brazil exists in every insurance and lending market in the world."
— João Costa, Founder & CEO, Zarv

About Zarv
Zarv operates as shared risk infrastructure for the financial sector — an API-first layer that connects underwriting, continuous monitoring, and claims investigation into a single data flywheel. Every signal generated at one stage improves the precision of the others. The more organizations operate on the platform, the more accurate the model becomes for all of them.
Zarv ID delivers risk scoring and fraud detection at underwriting. It flags synthetic identities, document fraud, and high-risk network connections — and generates a pricing recommendation even for thin-file applicants with no prior insurance or credit history.
Zarv Signal monitors insured or financed assets continuously throughout the policy or loan term. Dynamic geofences, real-time anomaly detection, and behavioral alerts enable mid-term repricing decisions based on actual behavior — not renewal-cycle assumptions.
Zarv Lens handles claims investigation through automated trajectory reconstruction, LPR/OCR camera integration, and behavioral pattern analysis. It produces legally admissible evidence packages, reducing the time and cost of claims resolution.
The platform integrates via REST API with existing core systems — no rip-and-replace required.
