Geofence

A geofence is the simplest way to turn location into a rule: you declare where an asset should be — an operating region, an authorized route, a yard — and any crossing of that boundary becomes an event.

The value is not the perimeter itself but what it removes: without one, a human has to look at a map and notice. With one, the deviation arrives as an alert the moment it happens, which is the difference between reacting and finding out later.

Paired with behavioral signal it stops being binary: a boundary crossing consistent with a driver's history weighs differently from one at night, in a high-risk zone, right after a period without signal.
