Continuous asset monitoring
Also known as: Collateral monitoring · Fleet risk monitoring
Following a financed, leased or insured asset across the whole contract, so risk changes surface before the loss rather than after it.
At Zarv
21% of Brazil's vehicle fleet monitored, on more than 3 TB of data per day.
The traditional model assesses risk once, at origination, and then waits. Between signature and loss there is no new information — which means the first news is usually the loss itself: the missed payment, the claim, the vehicle that never comes back.
Continuous monitoring inverts that: the asset emits signal throughout the contract, and deviation becomes an alert before it becomes a claim. Use outside the declared profile, an atypical route, a period without signal, a change in who operates the asset — each one precedes the event.
Scale matters, because a pattern is only detectable against a large base: in Brazil, Zarv monitors 21% of the national vehicle fleet and processes over 3 TB per day. Where tracking touches a person rather than a vehicle, US state law sets the consent rules, so the program has to be designed around the owner's or lessee's authorization.
